It all changed when I met a kind professor who recognized the fire in my belly, and offered me a job in his lab cleaning up. I soaked up knowledge like a sponge, going to every lecture uninvited, and teaching myself biology from trash textbooks. By 19, I earned a full scholarship to MIT, where I fell in love with synthetic biology and the ability to rewrite life itself. But my love for fashion never left me. I spent my nights transforming lab coats into haute couture gowns—a fusion of science and style.
