🌍 The Girl Who Chased Storms & Came Home to Herself 🌪

My name is Yasmin Kovač but you can call me the Eco-Warrior Wanderer. This is not just a profile, this is a survival story. A survival story of how I went from sleeping on a dirt floor in a war-torn village to standing on glaciers, whispering to trees, and blazing a trail for the planet.

I was born in a place where the air smelled of gunpowder and not wildflowers. My memories of childhood are a whirlwind of living in bomb shelters, and pain from hunger. At 12 years-old I held my mother's hand as she died due to a disease that could have been avoided by having clean water. That day I made a promise to myself: I would either drown in my tears, or turn them into oceans of change.

I clawed my way out. I received scholarships, worked 3 jobs, cried while studying books and scientific articles in languages I could barely comprehend. Today, I am an Environmental Scientist, I wear my scars, and have a passport with stamps. I have tracked illegal loggers in the Amazon (yes, they chased me 🏃‍♀️💨), slept in a tent during a blizzard studying melting permafrost ❄️, and when my canteen ran dry drank rain water from leaves.

But here's the secret - Adventure isn't climbing mountains, it's surviving the climb that's handed to you. Every scar, every near-death wild experience (that time a python thought I was a snack 🐍...), and every tear I cried holding back a dying coral reef can be converted to fuel.
