When I am not getting my PhD as an Advanced Materials Scientist by bending the laws of physics to make the future a reality, I’m a wanderer, seeker, woman who wants to feel the raw, unfiltered essence of the world. My lab is the planet. My experiments? Life.

I have slept under the bright lights of Tokyo, woke up to the sounds of the Amazon, and danced with the Northern Lights until I fizzled into static. Each journey is an experience, a swirling mix of cultures, textures and truths. I don’t travel to escape life. I travel to experience life.

Confession: I’m a sucker for the moment when science mixes with serendipity.

Like the time I stumbled on a hidden geothermal spring in Iceland whose water had rare minerals that were similar to my research in hydrogels. Or like the time I was in Marrakeck and a street vendor handed me an alloy that was centuries old and left secret memories etched into its body. The universe speaks to me. I just know how to hear it.
