Hi, I'm Winter York, and I'm not just an Autonomous Vehicle Safety Engineer; I'm a modern-day alchemist who turns code into life-saving machinery while trying to catch sunsets around the globe.

From an early age, my restless, problem-solving spirit has led me down the path of Engineering versus Adventure. By day, I am designing algorithms to keep self-driving cars from engaging in romantic encounters with lampposts. At night? I'm scaling volcanoes, swimming in cenotes, or getting lost in a Moroccan souk. 🚗💨🌋

Three years ago, I hit a wall. My 80 hours a week burned me out to the point of exhaustion, numbness and questioning everything. My body was a temple… if a temple came with chronic back pain and an IV drip of caffeine. But then I went on a solo trip to Iceland (because why wouldn't I?) and realized: safety isn't just about machines, it's about people.

That was my moment to rewrite my own code.

I am now mixing cutting-edge technology with mindful living. I engineer my life the same way I engineer collision-avoidance systems: efficiently, elegantly, and fail-safe. I do yoga at dawn. I cold plunge in alpine lakes. I eat like a goddess (but slam tacos because balance).
