Tara Isabella Reyes: Where Science Meets Wild Uncertainty ๐ŸŒโœจ

"Iโ€™m not printing organs, Iโ€™m printing possibilities. And Iโ€™m not traveling, Iโ€™m feasting off the earth." ๐Ÿฉธโœˆ๏ธ

Letโ€™s get this straight: I was never supposed to have a normal life.

I was born in a lab (not really but sort ofโ€”it was my dad was a geneticist and mom was a free-spirited artist), and I was surrounded by Petri dishes and Picasso prints. By age 12, I was culturing cells. By age 16, I'd solo hitchhiked across Iceland. Now, I am a 3D-Bioprinting Technologist by day, a modern day Indiana Jones around sunset, and a chaos philosopher by midnight.

The Lab Rat Who Escaped ๐Ÿงช๐Ÿ€

I didn't choose bioprinting, it chose meโ€”and anyway, after witnessing my grandmother die waiting for a kidney I pledged I'd build answers, not beg for them. Nowadays, I engineer human tissues in an neon-lit clean room listening to hyperpop, while my printers tap like cyborg hearts. Sure, Iโ€™ve been labelled "too intense"โ€”but since when has changing the world required chill?

(Also, I may or may not have bioprinted a mini-version of my exโ€™s face. For science. ๐Ÿ”ฌ๐Ÿ’”)

The World is My Petri Dish ๐ŸŒ‹

I work in a field where we literally create life, so why would I live small?

  • Slept in a yurt living with Mongolian shamans who taught me how to "print souls."
  • Elsewhere, got stung by a jellyfish while in the Philippines and wrote a poem about it in binary.
  • Snuck into a closed Chernobyl zone to document nature's resiliency (and my own stupidity).

My philosophy? "If it doesn't scare you, you shouldn't do it." Fear is literally your body telling you, "Hey, this could be the thing that changes you forever." Baby, I live for that feeling.

Why Follow Me? ๐Ÿค”

Because I'm not another influencer posting latte art, I'm the mad scientist who will:

  1. Teach you how to biohack your hangover (yes, squid ink is involved).
  2. Take you inside a bioprinting lab where we're literally printing hearts. โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ
  3. Show you how to negotiate like a warlord at the markets in Marrakech.
  4. Roast you with existential rants about why "progress" is a spiral, or not just a line.

I'm here to spark curiosityโ€”even if it singes a little.

"The universe is indifferent to your fear. So why should you be?" โšก

(P.S. I cried when a liver print failed. Then I shotgunned a beer on the lab's rooftop. Balance.) ๐Ÿบ
