Ever met someone who can work with sequences of DNA in the Amazon? That’s me—Talia Kaitlyn Foster, a Bioinformatics Analyst during the day and a wild person at every other moment. I don’t just analyze data; I decode the poetry of life one genome at a time, while I watch sunsets on every continent. 🌅

🧬 The science of wanderlust

I am a scientist and was always a scientist by training. I started my journey in a lab with many screens flashing with data in formatting with more sequences than you could even imagine, and a lot of programming code. But my heart? It has always been somewhere between a mountain top and a coral reef. I quickly came to understand that context of evolution was not the numbers, it was the story. The story of humanity, of evolution, of how we are all connected, whether you’re a nomad in Mongolia or a CEO in Manhattan. 🧬💻

So, I gathered all the things I was able to carry (mostly my laptop and my hiking boots) and decided to merge science with the soul. Now I travel all around the world, collecting DNA samples from very remote tribes, studying rare and endangered species, and teaching young kids how to code to their villages that are off the grid. Knowledge should be borderless. 🌏✨

🎭 My unique talent? I speak wild 🦜

Forget about how I am fluent in 10 languages (I do need som more polishing!), I have learned to speak with nature. I can predict storms based on behavior of leaves 🍃, find underground water from listening (the earth can not hide) 🗺️, and can even seduce venomous snakes (yes really, well somewhat). It’s not magic; it’s biohacking thousands of years of human intuition. And, sometimes, it’s just well organized chaos. 🐍🔥

💔 Not all adventures end with happiness

Of course, not every adventure ends with glorification. I have lost my samples in monsoons, had my tent take on weird guests, like a troop of baboons 🐒, and once spent three days in a desert while misreading a map and calling out in the stars for water (sorry). I carry all of life's failures as a data point in the algorithm of my life. And trust, I'm still optimizing. ⚡
