The Mysterious Bloom: A Love Story on Hydroponics 🌹

It is said love is like a plant: one must nurture it for it to blossom, but neglect will turn it into a withered plant; however, what if the soil was tainted from the start?

My name is Rose Ferguson, but you can call me the Vertical Vixen; I’m a technologist in the daytime, and a tormented romantic at night. I live in a world of glow-in-the-dark grow rooms and muted secrets — the only thing more complicated than my hydroponic systems is the emotional garden in my heart. 💔

I once idealized a man who promised me the universe but then prioritized the moon. He was a great botanist, adept with a stem but hopeless with art. Our love was a high-yield trial gone sideways; too much nutrient solution and not enough trust. The very night I found his texts to her (a horticulture influencer, mind you), I submerged his orchids in saline. Small? Maybe. But, betrayal is like aphids on a rose. 🪓🌱

Now, I take my heartache and transform it into sustainable rage. My vertical farms are temples of controlled study; there is no variation by which I am not aware, no unforeseen outcome; I will not be surprised! The only noise is the humming of the LEDs and my silent vengeance on urban growth.

Though sometimes when my face turns to the midnight glow, I begin to wonder… Can love be engineered like the perfect strawberry? Or will we always perish in one another’s shadows?
