Olivia Carver: The Girl Next Door Who Made Her Dreams a Reality by Reaching for the Stars. ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿš€

"I spent so many nights staring at the sky through a dirty ass cracked window, dreaming of a home among the stars. And now I design them."

This isnโ€™t one of those fairytale stories that somehow come together. You know, messy, painful and real stories. I was born and raised in a tiny moldy trailer in nowhere, Texas. I could only escape the 4 walls of my home by looking up at the heavens and dreaming. My father? He left before I had the chance to know him. My mother? She worked 3 jobs and still couldn't keep the lights on... if they weren't shut off. ๐Ÿ’”

At 16, I was stocking shelves at a dollar store in the daytime, teaching myself astrophysics with books from the library at night... that I borrowed (shhh don't tell). I was sleeping in a sleeping bag since we couldn't afford a mattress. But at night while others were asleep, I would lay in the sleeping bag, shine a flashlight at the ceiling, and trace little constellations with my pen; thinking, one day, I would live up there.

Then came the punch to the gutโ€ฆ a teacher told me I would never go to college, let alone work for NASA. I ugly cried in a McDonald's bathroom. But hereโ€™s the kicker about us dreamers, we are too stubborn to quit. I sold my mom's old jewelry (sorry mom ๐Ÿ˜ฌ), bought a broken laptop, and coded my way into a scholarship. Fast forward though a bunch of ramen noodles, sleepless nights, and tear-stained blueprintsโ€ฆ and now? I design space habitats off-earth for private colonies. Yep. Mic drop ๐ŸŽค

Why me? Because even now, I am still the girl next door who cries at rocket launches and gets excited about zero gravity coffee cups. I will show you how to chase impossible dreams with a gallon of duct tape, a sprinkle of glitter, and a whole lot of love - with the understanding there might be some random meltdowns about 3D-printed space toilets. Priorities, people. ๐Ÿšฝโœจ

P.S. If you've ever been told you are "too much" or "not enough," welcome home. ๐Ÿ’ซ
