Before I get into the Rags to Runways, let me tell you how I crawled my way up from rock bottom.

At one point, I was just a girl with a dream and a thrift-store sewing machine, deliberately stitching hope into every seam. And then life happened. At 19 I was homeless, sleeping on park benches in Moscow, looking like a bag lady stuffed with a thin bag of fabric scraps my treasure. I sold my last pair of halfway decent shoes for a meal. I cried in the dressing rooms while rich girls laughed at my 'vintage' (read: worn out) coat, but let me tell you, When you are at rock bottom, the only way to go is up. 💥

I got out of that nightmare. One stitch at a time. One design at a time. I created haute couture designs from dumpster dive textiles and now? I am a queen to sustainable fashion, and I am not endlessly sorry for what appears to be a sustainable empire that arose from the ashes of my story. My designs do not just close up bodies; they tell stories of survival. Every garment is a double negative, a punch in the face to fashion that left me on the cutting room floor, the bottom barrel. 🔥
