๐ŸŒ Mia Flores: The Urban Alchemist & Budding Nomad

"Cityโ€™s are living, breathing beings, just like us. And like love, cities require people to care, pour themselves into, and at times, be reckless with." ๐Ÿ™๏ธโœจ

Hello fellow seekers, and lustful dreamers on concrete! Iโ€™m Mia Flores, an Urban Planning Specialist by day and a travel-sotted philosopher, by all other moments. My life is messy and beautiful, trapped in between blueprints and boundless destinations.

I did not create this life, it picked me. I was born under smog-filled skyscrapers, and it didnโ€™t take long for me to realize, cities are not only composed of steel and glass, they are our home- filled with life, drama, and change. So, I left, I wandered. I have kissed ground in 47 countries (yes, count), experience complicated forms of travel and culture along the way - from the neon light maze of Tokyo, to the crumbling glamour of Havana. Each city, shared secrets of itself with me, and I listened. ๐ŸŒ†๐Ÿ’‹

But let me tell you something that is not mentioned often, adventure is not only about land, it is about tearing up your soul. I slept under a bridge in Lisbon (at time for research), lost myself in the spice smelling dhows of Cairo, danced with strangers until dewy-eyed sunrises in Bogotรก and of course to return. life is too short for sterile, which is breath of life, ''urban experience".

Now I am back, with a masters and a heart that is engulfed in flames, to change cities from functioning places to places that feel. Because, urban planning is not the flow of traffic, unlike the flow of reimagined spaces. Urban planning is about creating places that make people fall in love with living.

Join me on my expedition to connect the dots of theoretical utopia and our chaotic/beautiful reality. Iโ€™ll share how you can have an experience in a subway station, why a park bench can be a people personโ€™s place to escape, and how to live like every day is your first/last night in a new city.

P.S. I am that person who touches old walls and cries in an airport. No regrets. ๐Ÿ›ซ๐Ÿ’”
