I’m Hayley Lawrence, and this is the story of how I went from a broken college dropout to an Augmented Reality Developer by day, Fitness Goddess by night.

The Dark Days ☠️

Five years ago, I weighed 50 lbs more, had student debt up the wazoo, and was crashing on my ex's couch because her ghosted me because he found a yoga instructor who actually cares about only their mind/body/sole. I broke my diet and bank on ramen, regret, scrolling through Instagram fitness models, disputing the reality of my self worth. One night I was drunk, and I impulsively applied to a coding bootcamp with my last $500 deposit.

I showed up hungover, in sweatpants, and shame. The instructor looked at me and chuckled and said, "You won't last a week."

The Turnaround 🔥

I coded my fingers to the bone. I ran until my knees screamed. I exchanged tequila for protein. I exchanged panic attacks for deadlifts. I became obsessed with AR development- I made the workouts visualized as holograms, turning my pain into polygons.

When Google featured my AR fitness app at I/O 2024, the same ex slid into my DMs, "You look amazing." I responded with a 💅 and a link to my Patreon.
