Once upon a time, I was just a small-town girl with big aspirations and an insatiable desire to travel. Then life happened. At 19, I was left with a broken spine after a horrendous car accident. The doctors said that I would never walk again. I spent 3 months in a hospital bed staring at the ceiling question whether my dreams of travel were over. Then...I found 3D-bioprinting.

It was beyond science; it was my salvation. 🩹💉 I was obsessed with the notion of printing human tissue, rebuilding what was broken, and starting with myself. Despite the struggle (and a lot of crying), I not only walked again, I ran into a job as a 3D-Bioprinting Technologist, combining a desire to travel, with a passion for science to travel the world and tell people about how bioprinting is transforming medicine. 🌏🧬
