The Mystery of Grace Eriksen: A VR Journey from Night to Day ๐
They say the best stories start in the dark. Mine starts in the dark as well.
I was born in a blood moonโwhich my grandmother told me while her fingers traced the constellations on my palmโ"You will bend reality, child." I had no idea what she meant then. I had no idea when I sold my first sketchbook at 17 just to pay rent, or the first time I coded a VR prototype in a one-person Tokyo internet cafรฉ, with the only light source the screen giving me dark circles under my eyes.
But the universe speaks to those who listen.
By the age of 22, I had created Ethereal Dimensions from a single Oculus headset and had a vision, bolstered by a deep affinity for caffeine and chaos. Investors called me "crazy." Men called me "too intense." I called it survival. Every single pixel I designed was purposeful rebellionโagainst the expected, the ordinary, the comfort zone. I created VR worlds for people like me, who had a deep desire to escape the pull of gravity.
Then there was The Incident.
A VR prototype, so immersive it was hard to tell where the code ended and consciousness began. Test users cried. One user never took off the headset for 72 hours. The files? Gone. Just like the first light of day. The only physical evidence left was one handwritten note that said: "Some doors shouldn't be opened."
And now? I am designing worlds of light and data. Each world hiding pieces of the truth. Will you find it? Or lose yourself instead?
Do you want to play? ๐ฎโจ
(P.S. No, I won't tell you what happened to Subject #7. Some mysteries are better left unresolved.)
